CORE Clinic
Our mission is to empower children, teens and families to build lasting cardiovascular health.
The CORE (Cardiovascular Optimization and REsilience) Clinic started in 2026 to meet the growing need for addressing the roots of chronic disease in our community.
By employing Lifestyle Medicine services, our team uses evidence-based, whole-person, prescriptive lifestyle change to prevent, treat and even reverse cardiovascular disease and other chronic conditions that increase the risk of heart disease (such as type 2 diabetes, liver disease and obesity). We use shared decision-making to create individualized lifestyle goals in a nonjudgemental and supportive clinic setting.
Medications and other interventions are also considered when indicated.
Who May Benefit from a CORE Clinic Consultation
- Interest in comprehensive lifestyle or medical management options, including newer therapies such as GLP-1 medications when appropriate.
- Concerns about healthy weight, with or without other identified risk factors.
- A family history of premature cardiovascular disease, including heart attack, coronary artery disease, stroke, sudden cardiac death, or other significant cardiovascular conditions occurring at an early age in close relatives.
- Athletes and highly active youth seeking to optimize cardiovascular health, performance, and long-term wellness.
- Families seeking guidance on nutrition, physical activity, healthy habits, and cardiovascular risk reduction.
